Breast Working Group

The Breast Working Group, led by physicians, Dr. Lori Pierce (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center) and Dr. Frank Vicini (GenesisCare MHP), and medical physicist, Dr. Alex Moncíon (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center), works to identify ways to improve breast cancer treatment for patients across the state of Michigan.

Areas of Current and Ongoing Focus

  • Investigate and quantify dosimetric differences between 3D and IMRT treatment planning

  • Track and evaluate practice changes in breast cancer treatment over time with respect to dose prescription and boost delivery

  • Leverage the collection of full DICOM data for greater understanding of the treatment delivered to patients enrolled in MROQC
