Breast Working Group
The Breast Working Group, led by physicians, Dr. Lori Pierce (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center) and Dr. Frank Vicini (MHP), and medical physicist, Dr. Alex Moncíon (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center), works to identify ways to improve breast cancer treatment for patients across the state of Michigan.
Breast Working Group Meetings occur on the Fourth Thursday of the month from 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Areas of Current and Ongoing Focus

Investigate and quantify dosimetric differences between 3D and IMRT treatment planning

Track and evaluate practice changes in breast cancer treatment over time with respect to dose prescription and boost delivery

Leverage the collection of full DICOM data for greater understanding of the treatment delivered to patients enrolled in MROQC

Identify and disseminate best practices for radiation delivery for early stage breast cancer
