The Mets Working Group Meetings occur on the 4th Monday of the month from 3-3:30 p.m.

Mets Working Group

The Bone Mets Working Group, led by physician Dr. Eyad Abu-Isa (Henry Ford Providence), Dr. Donna Edwards (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center), and medical physicist Dr. Lana Critchfield (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center), is currently exploring ways to improve palliative treatment of bone metastases with radiation (e.g., reduce treatment time thereby reducing patient and caregiver burden). In 2026, this group will be exploring expansion into the area of brain metastases.

Areas of Current and Ongoing Focus

  • Dose/Fractionation

  • Complexity of Treatment Planning & Delivery (e.g., IMRT, SBRT)

  • Patient Reported Outcomes
