Bone Mets Working Group

The Bone Mets Working Group, led by physicians, Dr. Jim Hayman (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center) and Dr. Brendan Coutu (Sparrow), and medical physicist, Dr. Lana Critchfield (Michigan Medicine/MROQC Coordinating Center), is currently exploring ways to improve palliative treatment of bone metastases with radiation (e.g., reduce treatment time thereby reducing patient and caregiver burden).

Areas of Current and Ongoing Focus

  • Dose/Fractionation

  • Complexity of Treatment Planning & Delivery (e.g., IMRT, SBRT)

  • Patient Reported Outcomes 

MROQC bone working group
